The short version: Shelfie is a tool for keeping track of your own things. It gives estimates, not safety advice. Use your own judgement about what goes on your skin.

Your licence

Apple’s terms. Shelfie is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms add to it. Where they differ, the Standard EULA governs the licence itself.

Personal use. You may use Shelfie for personal, non-commercial use on any Apple device you own or control, as Apple’s Usage Rules allow. There’s no account to create and no subscription to cancel.

What Shelfie is, and isn’t

Shelfie estimates when a cosmetic is likely to be past its best. It works from:

Those estimates are only as good as what goes in. Label reading, barcode data and your own entries can all be wrong, so check what Shelfie fills in before you save it.

Shelfie is not a safety check or medical advice.

Shelfie Plus

The free version holds up to five products. What’s included in Free and Plus is described in the app and on this website.

Your content

The products, photos, notes and ratings you add are yours.

Other services

Some features depend on services run by others:

If any of these are unavailable, the rest of Shelfie keeps working.

Changes to the app

We may update Shelfie, change its features, or stop offering it. Updates may download automatically. If you’ve bought Shelfie Plus, the features it unlocks stay unlocked in the app you have.

Liability

As is. Shelfie is provided as it is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss or damage from using it, including any decision to use or discard a product.

Your legal rights. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t lawfully be limited, or takes away your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The current version is always on this page with the date it was last updated.
